How soon should I apply for my child to attend the next school year?

Enrollment applications can be submitted at anytime.  Enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year will begin in March of 2019.   Class size restrictions limit the number of students per class grade so applying early is always a good choice.

Can a student enroll during the current school year?

Yes, because FACA has a rolling enrollment process, students may enroll at any time during the school year upon acceptance.

What does the yearly tuition fee cover?

·One year of academic instruction

·All educational curriculum (textbook and instructional material)

·Academic and Fine Arts extra-curricular activities

·All multi-media usage

·All science laboratory supplies

Are scholarships offered?

Yes, FACA offers need-based scholarships dependent on availability and on a first-come, first-served basis.  Applications are available on FACA web site under the “FAST” link.  The application period for 2019-2020 is expired.  Application dates for 2020-2021 will be announced when enrollment is open.

Are payment plans available?

Yes, payment plans are available. FACA offers annual, semester, or monthly payment plans.

Am I still responsible for the tuition if my child is withdrawn?

Yes, at enrollment, a contractual agreement indicating you agree to the contractual terms and conditions is acknowledged.

What is the student/teacher ratio?

Currently our student to teacher ratio is 8:1. The class size limits are 14 students in grades K through 2nd, 16 students in grades 3rd and 4th, and 18 students in 5th through 8th.

 

If my child attends FACA, will high schools recognize the education from a small, private school?

 Yes, FACA is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), recognized by the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission (TEPSAC), and is a member of the Texas Association of Non-Public Schools (TANS). Eighth grade students have the opportunity to take Algebra 1, Art 1, and Health as high school credits. These credits are recognized by high schools in the area.

How do I find out how my child is doing in his/her classes?

Parents may check their child’s grades, homework assignments, and attendance online through the school’s internet site, Renweb. All teachers and staff have e-mail addresses available on Renweb as well so that communication with your child’s teacher(s) is easily available.

Are all of the teachers at FACA degreed?

Yes, all classroom teachers hold a college degree, and some hold advanced degrees.
